Food service is an opportunity to provide healthy refueling options to students during the day. Food service areas shall focus on efficiency, allowing students to focus on healthy eating and rejuvenating mealtimes rather than standing in lines. Students shall be able to make food and beverage choices with a variety of healthy options. Nutritional education can be displayed to help students understand the importance of healthy eating and its contribution to learning.

Provide space for multiple queues servicing different options to allow students to move through the lines quickly.

Complete or balanced meals are offered for both breakfast and lunch.  Provide possible opportunities to allow students to make personal food choices through ala carte and self-serve options.
